Post What is the Equivalent to a CEO in Law?

I am curious about career advancement in the field of law.

In business, the CEO position of a company is the highest and most coveted position.

What is the equivalent to being a CEO in law (what is the most coveted position)?

It depends on the field in law

In Private practce litigation this may be so (equity partner, or senior partner of major firm)

In the judiciary it may be Supreme Court Justice

In academia it is the SJD/JSD Doctor of Jurisdicial Sciences which can only be awarded after a 3yr. JD, (JUris DOctor) then 2 yr. LLM (translatd to Master of the Laws) then 4 yr+ JSD/SJD

    Hope this offers more clarification
