Hello!
I am new to the forum and wanted to get some feedback in regards to my looming decision of where to attend law school. I have been admitted to both CA Western School of Law in San Diego and the Phoenix School of Law. I currently reside in Phoenix and have a scholarship with PHX and not CAWSL. CAWSL is more expensive and would require me to move, but I love San Diego and wouldn't mind living there one day. The cost of living in San Diego also scares as I know that my current living situation in PHX is probably much cheaper than anything I might find in SD. My other hesitation is that PHX is so new that name recognition might play a part. They are both 4th tier schools, but CAWSL has been around a lot longer. Also CAWSL is public (non-profit) and PHX is private (for profit). How much of a difference does that make? The type of law I want to practice is in the public interest field so either way I am hoping to be able to take advantage of the loan forgiveness option through the department of Education. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
