Fix Windows XP by using the XP installation CD

Hi Folks! Just wanted to share my new experience. If your system fails to run due to an error related to lost HAL.DLL, invalid Boot.ini or any other important system boot files you can repair this by using the XP installation CD. Simply boot from your XP Setup CD and enter the Recovery Console. Then launch "attrib -H -R -S" on the C:\Boot.ini file and delete it. Run "Bootcfg /Rebuild" and then Fixboot Cheers, Carl

Thank you for sharing that information. I will surely keep this in mind. There are many .dll errors of Windows. Will this procedure fix all .ddl problems? I had a .dll problem one time and I have to call a technician to repair it.
